Tiger Room (2 Years – 33 Months)

Tiger RoomWELCOME TO THE TIGER ROOM

Staff: Alex W., Merari H., Dana A.

We’d like to welcome you and your child to the Tiger Room.  Your toddler is growing and you’ll be amazed at how much they change from when they first come to Tigers and when they leave ten months later.  We’re delighted to have a chance to take part in that growth.

We’d like to take a few minutes to acquaint you with some of our procedures.

SIGN IN/OUT:

The sign in sheet is on a clipboard inside the room on the wall.  Please remember to sign your child in and out every day.

PARENT SHEET:

When you drop off your child in the morning, we ask that you fill out the top part of your child’s daily sheet. This contains helpful information for the staff about your child’s day so far.  We will fill out the bottom half of the sheet during the day so you can know how your child’s day went.

MENU BOARD:

Please check the white board above the lunch area to see what was served for breakfast, lunch and snack.

BASKET AND HOOK:

Each child has a basket and hook inside the room for their personal belongings.  Check the basket for notes, etc.

“WHERE WE ARE AT” BOARD:

On the wall by the sign in sheet is a message area that lets you know where we are if we are not in the room.

DIAPER LOG:

We keep track of how many diapers you bring in for your child and when you bring them.  We’ll tell you when your supply is running low.

EXTRA CLOTHES:

Be sure to leave some seasonally appropriate extra clothes for your child.  Please bring at least a shirt, pants and socks and mark them with the child’s name.

GOING OUTSIDE:

Weather permitting, the Tigers go outside every day.  If your child is too sick to go outside, she is too sick to come to child care.  In the winter make sure your child has a coat or jacket, hat, mittens, snow pants and boots.  In the summer it is a good idea to bring a head covering of some kind, and remember to provide sunscreen if your child needs it.

We’re looking forward to getting to know you and your child!
